Dream Cars

Here is a list of cars that, if I ever get unlimited funds (i.e. sh*t-load of money), I'd love to have in my garage. Of course that means my first purchase would be a garage! Not all these selections are based on performance. Some cars are interesting just by themselves! By each car I will list it's stock statistics.

Shell Reynard/Ford Cosworth CART Champ car:

Dodge Viper RT/10 (pictured) or GTS

Performance:

Ford Cosworth XF 2.65 liter V-8 turbo engine
6-speed transmission
850 horsepower @ 15,000 RPM
350 ft-lb torque @ 15,000 RPM
0-60: ~3 sec
1/4 mile: ~8 sec @ 150mph
top speed: 155 - 225 MPH
lateral grip: ~4.0g's

NOTES: So what if it's not street legal, if I could afford this car, I could afford to build a track for it! The numbers above are just estimates, especially the top speed; so much depends on how the car is setup.

Dodge 8.0 liter V-10 OHV engine
6-speed transmission
450 horsepower @ 5200 RPM
490 lb-ft torque @ 3700
0-60: 4 sec
1/4 mile: 12.2 sec @ 118 MPH
top speed: 177 MPH
lateral grip: 0.97g's

NOTES: My personal favorite is the GTS, that would be one of my daily drivers. The RT/10 would be my sunny day, back road cruising car. Possibly a track car, too. Imagine all that wheel spinning torque!

Mazda RX-7 (3rd generation)

NOTES: Daily driver for sure! And tickets out the wazoo! This is one car I hope to own in the future.
